I dream to be inevitable.
I am obsessed with obsession. With the yearning to create, the winding road, the way less traveled. Not a hope but a know. A belief. Two feet, ten toes that your dreams will come true. To think otherwise is to sacrifice humanity.
La La Land, Tyler the Creator, Ferran Torres: trying is cool. Failing will happen. I want to master my craft. Picasso painted six paintings in a day. All basically the same. To him, they weren’t good enough. It feels as if he’s manic about his art. Obsessed. Now the mundane piece 2 of 6 on a random day in 1957 is hanging on a wall of the Picasso Museum in Barcelona. Admired and photographed by millions. Living forever. His mundane is a masterpiece.
I’ve seen Christopher Nolan camera tests that could win awards and shots in practice that would win goal of the year. I dream to produce so consistently and at such a high level that I am inevitable. Success is inevitable. Get out of your dumbass hole for brains and get out in the world and produce and create at your mercy.
All I want is to create work that will outlive me.
